Where can i buy a stiff shaft for my Nike Sumo 5000/TAYLORMADE BURNER RESCUE?
Can anyone recommend a shaft for this club..swing speed..95-100 mph. I am about a 10 handicap..need a great shaft??.. Also, can you give me a name for a shaft for a Taylormade burner rescue club? Stiff shaft please..THANKS
I use a Graphite Design YS-6 Type II in my 5000, X-flex. The GD's are softer than, say, an Aldila. You can pretty much put in whatever you wanted, depending on your budget, and get good performance. The Aldila NV, NVS, By You, VooDoo; Fujikura Tour 26.3 or 27.3, Bonzai; Graffalloy Blue, ProLaunch Red or Blue; any of the Diamana line; whichever. Just remember- the tip diameter of the shaft has to be .335.
For the hybrid- I play an Adams A3 Boxer, with an Aldila NVS hybrid shaft- another that I really like. Like the above, there are numerous hybrid shafts that will work for you. Depending on what your original shaft weighed, the tip diameter could either be .355 or .370.
