Why are the rules of golf so screwed up and unfair?
Really in golf there should be no out of bounds,no 2 stroke penalty's in fact no penalty at all if you it it in the water you should get a free drop with loss of distance.If the ball is unplayable you should be allowed to drop in the fairway with one stroke penalty max. All of the rules were designed by drunk scottish of old american fogies what that means i don't know but i will say the rules stink.
The rules of golf are designed to make sure that the game reflects the skill of the player.
There are really only three rules of golf
1. Play the ball as it lies,
2. Play the course as you find it
3. The player is responsible for everything that happens
The rulebook is just a compromise for the times you can't follow these three rules.
